Oliver N. King Veteran Scholarship
Each year, we sponsor a special scholarship just for veterans of the U.S. military services: Army, Air Force, Navy, Marines, Space Force, and Coast Guard. The award is for $2,000 and can be used for trade school, apprenticeship programs, and both graduate and undergraduate college expenses. The scholarship is awarded to honor Oliver N. King, a Navy veteran, long-time employee of the Department of Veterans Affairs, and a dedicated Magnolia Federal Credit Union member and volunteer.
If you are a veteran and a member of the credit union, we encourage you to apply by May 31.
David E. Bergstrom Memorial Scholarship
The David E. Bergstrom Memorial Scholarship is awarded to two high school seniors who intend to further their education through a community college or a public or private university. The program was developed to honor the late David (Dave) E. Bergstrom who was President/CEO of Magnolia Federal Credit Union from 1990 to 2003. Dave was an astute businessman who achieved remarkable success in his 30-year career in the credit union industry. The $1,000 scholarships are awarded to the applicants who best exemplify Dave’s courage, spirit, and dedication.
